EVOX
Licensed clinical counseling for clients in IdahoEVOX is a biofeedback device that analyzes patterns in your voice — pitch, rhythm, and vocal energy — while you talk through a memory or situation. It gives Rod and the client a visual, moment-to-moment picture of where a topic carries emotional charge, which helps focus the conversation on what is actually stuck rather than what is easiest to talk about.
What to expect
How voice mapping works
Whenever you talk through a topic — a relationship, a stressor, a memory — the frequencies in your voice reflect your underlying reaction to it, whether or not you are consciously aware of it. EVOX charts those frequencies into a "voice map" that Rod uses, in session, to see where the charge actually sits rather than relying on the story alone.
What a session involves
You wear a small microphone and speak naturally about a topic while the software renders your vocal patterns on screen in real time. There is nothing to perform and no "correct" way to talk — the device is simply another lens on the conversation, used inside a regular counseling session.
Used alongside counseling, not instead of it
EVOX is a biofeedback tool, not a stand-alone treatment. It is offered as part of your counseling work with Rod, most often alongside individual counseling or clinical hypnotherapy, to help surface material worth talking through further.
